The First Sub-Sea Tunnel Linking Europe and Asia

Even though Turkey is not part of the European Union, their connection is now even stronger – having the Marmaray tunnel built, the first sub-sea tunnel linking Europe and Asia. The official opening was on 29^th of October, 2013, the National Turkey Day.
